The Basic Life Support (BLS) is designed to provide a wide variety of general public the ability to recognize several life
threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
. Critical concepts of high-quality CPR
. The American Heart Association Chain of Survival
. 1-Rescuer/2-Rescuer CPR and AED for adult, children and infant
. Artificial ventilation techniques for adult, child and infant
. Manage choking for adult, child and infant
. Protect unconsciousness
. Bleeding control, bandaging and immobilization skill for trauma care
Course Format:
. Initial Provider Course requires approximately 1 day to complete, including skills practice and skill testing.
. Course time based on 1 instructor: 6 students: 2 manikins; 24 students per class
Certification: BLS Provider certificate
Validation: 2 years
