CERT's training courses have received widespread approval from the trainee and the trainee unit. CERT is currently developing further training course based on customer feedback, and to meet the requirements of different techniques, regions and rescue personnel and units. Our aim is toprovide high-quality course content,a flexible teaching arrangement, and high quality service to meet the different needs of our clients, and in order to make the most contribution to the disaster relief work of China.
 
1. What does CERT mean?
A: China Emergency Relief Training

2. What kinds of courses are provided by CERT?
A: Our courses cover:
Governmental and Enterprise courses for fundamental disaster medical and rescue relief work course and more Training program specifically designed for VIP participants.
Training courses designed for companies and other organizations staff to perform medical first aid, safety training, emergency response exercise and outward bound etc.

3. How many days will the training course last?
A: Fundamental disaster medicine: 4 days
Training program for VIP;2 days (flexible)
Training program for  corporate and other clients: 1 or 2 days (flexible)

4. What is the content of fundamental disaster medicine and rescue course?
A: Currently, 70% pis practical exercise and 30% is theoretical teaching
Medical treatment in disaster site+ safety protection + rescue techniques + field survival
Training of complete fundamental disaster medicine rescue skill

5. What kind of certificate one could get the after finishing the training?
A: Fundamental disaster medicine rescue course: 5 marks for continuing education credits of aclass carried out by CMDA and the CMDA & CERT joint certificate.
Company training course: training certificate with signature of CERT.

6. What is the validity for CERT certificate?
A: 2 years

7. What is CERT's target training group?
A: Staff with medical background (doctors, nurses, staff engaged in public health and health administration)
   : Soldiers,policemen,armed police,government servants,social volunteers and other industry workers.

8. What kind of group does not fit for our course?
A: Those who suffer chronic disease; if one suffers the following diseases, please inform us in advance, because our training course on the disaster simulation site is physical in nature: hypertension, diabetes, asthma, obstructive respiratory disease, fear of heights, low blood pressure, history of surgery, chronic stable disease, lumbar muscle strain, lumbar disc protrusion and meniscus injury and other motor system disease.
Those who have had the following diseases and/orsymptomsare suggested to refrain from participating in our training:
History of seizures, coronary heart disease, history of stroke, dependence on psychotropic drugs, history of severe trauma, infectious disease (in active stage),history of mental disorder, pregnancy and so on.

9. What about the training expense?
A: 3,500 RMB (4 days) for fundamental disaster medicine rescue course

10. What does it include in the training expense?
A: It covers course fees, teaching material fees and fees for E-learning; other costs also covered: costs for clothing, equipment and facilities, in respect of logistics and accommodation: 4 days and 3 nights (4-bed dormitory and three meals per day);insurance during training period; costs of shuttle bus for picking up service(pickup points specified by CERT in Beijing).

11. How many trainees in each class?
A: There are 30 trainees in each class, with three instructors (a combination of both rescue and medical trainers).

12. Could CERT design other courses?
A: Yes. We can design courses based on client requirements with different days and content.

13. What kinds of standard does the course adopt?
A: In regards to rescue elements, it adopts internationally used USAR standard which fit for light rescue team; as for medical element, it adopts the guidelines of AHA, ITLS(sixth edition) and ATLS 2008 version as the guideline.

14. What qualification do our trainers hold?
A: At December 31st, 2010, CERT employs 64 trainers including:
Medical trainers: 27 doctors from renowned hospitals or foreign-owned enterprises, all of them have strong medical background and significant experience;
Rescue trainers: 37 retired soldiers with professional training, fire-fighter solider, special force members and the volunteers from voluntary teams;
Each trainer has graduated from CERT's own Instructor Training Academy, receiving rigid and strict training in accordance with the latest international standards. Our instructors include those with direct experience of Wenchuan and Yushu earthquake relief work.
 
15. Are CERT coursesrecognized by institutions in China?
A: We have established a strategic cooperation with CMDA, who have endorsed our curriculum, facilities and instructors.

16. How can we reach the CERT training center?
A: Our shuttle bus picks up trainees from three locations in Beijing: Dongzhimen, Beijing Railway Station and Beijing Airport. Trainee may select their most convenient point.

17. What about the relationship between the E-learning course and the classroom course? Is the E-learning course necessary?
A: The E-learning course is an essential part of our course. We strongly recommend  each trainee finish at least 2 hours' E-learning course with 20 multiple choice questions before arrival at our center. This is beneficial to help trainees understand the course background and standards adopted.

18. How do I start E-learning?
A: Please log in our website www.cert-elearning.com by user ID and password provided by CERT. You can start your E-learning as soon as the reservationsystem informs you of the successful purchase of our course.

19. Is the training safe?
A: We have developed a comprehensive protection method. The entire training process is closely monitored by our trainers.. Trainees are requested to wear PPE (supplied by CERT) when either taking classroomor outdoor courses.

20. What kind of simulation will the courses involve?
A: Earthquake simulation
Rescue simulation for high structure
Tunnel
Car crash simulation
Simulation night search and survey

21. What about the dormitory standard?
A: Four trainees share one room with air conditioning, personal cabinet,desk and chair.

27. How does one enroll on line?
A: As yet, the on-line enrollment service has not commenced, so please call or Email to us for consultation of enroll procedure.

28. How does CERT confirm the receipt of payment?
A: Within the two workdays from receiptof payment, CERT will confirm via e-mail or fax and open an invoice on the first day of training.

29. Could we pay with cash?
A: Yes. Please pay in full 5 days in advance of your training.

30. How can I achieve the Scholarship opportunities?
A: Those trainees who receive the title of “Best Trainee” during the fundamental disaster medical rescue relief course will get a chance to undertake this huge opportunity. He or shecould qualify to study in Chinese University Hong Kong (CUHk), University ofCambridge or University of Oxford for one year,  sponsored by CERT. CERT is responsible for sponsorship and recommendation, however admission is contingent upon the academic performance of trainee (e.gthe trainee meeting the requirements of university linguistic standard,professional background etc..

32: How to drive to CERT training center?
A: 
(1) After driving out of terminal 3 of Capital Airport Expressway, drive along the right side and enter into Siwei road;
(2) Drive eastbound along Siwei road. At the endtakethe airport east road;
(3) Drive northbound along the airport east road, turn right from Longtang crossroad to Tongshun road then turn right;
(4) Drive southbound 500 meters along Tongshun road then turn left and go into a small road (there is a brand: Hongda Color Steel), continue another 200 meters, and you will arrive our campus gate.
