CERT provides nationwide emergency disaster relief training to Doctors, Nurses, emergency personnel and others.

CERT offers the most advanced international training standards and best practices, using a highly experienced multinational training team and sophisticated disaster simulation training sites.

Our curriculum and teaching approach is developed in collaboration with the Chinese Medical Doctors Association, Oxford and Cambridge Universities and Chinese University Hong Kong.

China Emergency Relief Training (CERT) is a wholly-foreign owned enterprise (WFOE) in China established by CERT(HK) Ltd.

CERT's disaster relief training program allows rescue personnel to become familiar with international rescue concepts and scientific rescue processes, equipping them with a solid grasp of topics such as professional rescue techniques, scientific safety methods, and psychological support in the disaster environment. At the same time, the course aims to raise the general public’s awareness of techniques involved in self-rescue and the rescue of others. Thus, in the event of a natural disaster or any other large-scale event, rescue personnel are able to provide practical and effective medical and rescue support, ensuring more victims receive effective treatment during the “Golden Hour”,aiming to save as many lives as possible - providing the greatest possible reduction in the rate of casualty and mortality.

Background:
China is one of the most natural disaster-affected countries in the world. Virtually every type of natural disaster occurs every year with regular frequency, including earthquakes, floods, fires, droughts, hurricanes, hail storms, snow storms, avalanches and mudslides. From 1990 to 2008, an annual average of 300 million people were affected by natural disasters, causing permanent damage to over 3 million buildings and making more than 9 million people homeless. The loss of life and property due to a recent spate of mining accidents, large-scale earthquakes in Wenchuan and Yushu, and droughts in the South West of China are particularly hard to estimate.

Experience tells us again and again of the urgent need for building a national emergency disaster contingency relief training system that bolsters the capacity of the whole population to deal with disasters encountered in China, establishing a network disseminating knowledge and real on-site experience to all levels of society. Chinese leaders also repeatedly stress the need for a multi-level government strategy incorporating live data monitoring information, early warning natural disaster forecasting systems, and scientific and technological capability in the field of disaster management.
