The Safety and Medical Emergency Response Training course is aimed at large and medium-scale enterprises.
It is suitable for management personnel, Health and Safety management and security personnel. It is particularly suited for industrial, mining, and public service utility organisations that are at particularly high risk of hazards. At the time of a major incident (earthquakes, fires, explosions, terrorist attacks, etc.), emergency response personnel who have received CERT's training are able to react in such a way as to minimise to the greatest possible extent any related damage, injuries and mortalities.

The course includes: Common disaster hazards and safety knowledge; Commonly encountered acute internal medical conditions and critical trauma; CPR and use of the AED (Basic Life Support); Accident Management knowledge (contingency plans, Emergency Response, Incident Management systems) and so on.
 
Responsibilities of Company Emergency Response Personnel
1. To formulate an Emergency Response Plan (ERP), engage in periodic training, update information and organise field exercises
2. In the event of a serious professional incident with any related casualties and mortalities, to make a rapid response, organising and coordinating rescue work in the early stages
3. To provide swift first aid treatment and save the lives of seriously injured casualties
4. To cooperate with the work of medical personnel and provide assistance in the process of patient transportation
 
Course Objectives
The course is designed according to leading-edge international rescue work experience and standards, with a focus on practical skills training and realistic simulation of accident environments. Related rescue course content is designed according to international standards of Urban Search and Rescue (USAR). Basic Life Support classes conform to related standards of the American Heart Association and the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma:
 
1. An understanding of common knowledge relating to disasters
2. Knowing about safety control and hazard recognition
3. Having a grasp of standard trauma management and first aid skills
4. Having a grasp of CPR and the use of the AED
5. Having an understanding of standard patient transportation methods
6. Strengthening teamworking skills
7. Testing Company Emergency Response Plans (ERP) and emergency team work efficiency
 
Training time and course depth can be altered according to the actual capabilities of trainees and client requirements.
 
Points of Note
Maximum of 30 trainees for each class. The training team is composed of one medical instructor and two rescue instructors (actual instructor numbers are variable and depend on trainee numbers, however it is guaranteed there will be at least one instructor allocated to every ten trainees). Due to the fact the training site could be a disaster simulation zone with associated hazards, it is requested that all trainees strictly observe safety regulations at all times during training. The CERT Centre will provide accommodation during training.
