Our core course, developed in cooperation with the Chinese Medical Doctor Association (CMDA): CERT has developed an emergency relief training program with the express purpose of providing professional rescue skills training to medical workers and related rescue personnel. The Emergency Relief Medicine (Fundamental) Course adopts International Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) standards. These are combined with medical skills standards taken from the 2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care, 2008 Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and the Sixth Edition of International Trauma Life Support for Prehospital Care Providers (ITLS).
Course Design:
CERT has independently designed an exclusive Disaster Site Medical Relief Training course, adopting international standards of Urban Search and Rescue (USAR).
Tier One Training: Predominantly aimed at volunteers and personnel directly involved in rescue work both in preparation for and during an emergency incident.
Teaching Content: Practical skills-based training makes up 70% of the course, classroom teaching making up the remaining 30%. Course content is 67% medical training and 33% rescue training.
